Could this be the sign

Today I watched the Zoom meeting from last night because I had a nominating committee meeting so I couldn't attend it.  Actually, I have been avoiding the Zooms because I have been ashamed that I haven't been doing anything in the business and everyone else is "on fire".  I was afraid they would ask what I was doing.  Anyway, as I was watching the Zoom and listening to Mark Shinsato, Sam Flake, Julie Mai, Laura Bishop, Jennifer Murray and Paula ?, everything they said was resonating with me and I just wanted to cry... thinking about losing all of these amazing people and the opportunity to spend time with them if I don't build this business, was overwhelming.  I want so much to make this business succeed but it will not happen if I don't pick up the phone.  After I got done listening to the Zoom I was thinking of the people I needed to contact, Ryan and Annie, LeAnne and Romon, Brian and Jeanie and my new contact Briget Sylvia and talk to her about doing the business.  My heart was racing and I knew I could do this!!  But I had no time to do anything at the time because I had to shower and get to the church to help with the supper.  And now I am home and that same old feeling overcomes me.  I have to fight it!  I can't let rejection and the fear of rejection overtake me.  I want to remember the feeling I had when I thought about losing all of those wonderful people as friends.  I think that will be my new why...I want to be around people that are positive and excited about this amazing business that I have the opportunity to belong too.
I was asking God for a sign this morning if I was suppose to continue in this business because I have been so discouraged and than this Zoom happened...and I felt like He was telling me to keep going.  AND just as I was typing this guess what!  Brian called and wants me to send him some product so he can get started on it and sounds like he wants to do the business.  Wow!  It is a sign!!

Farewell, RenFest

Yesterday, Sept. 17, 2017, Curt and I attended the Renaissance Festival in Minnesota.  I would have to say that for the last 8 or 9 years we have attended a Renfest either in Minnesota or Kansas City almost every year.  Ever since our first one I was hooked.  Of course we had decided that if we attended we were going to dress up and become a part of the fun.  So the first year I ordered a beautiful burgundy velvet gown and I felt like a queen!   The people at the fair even treated me as such.  It was like being in another time period and I loved it.  Yes, the humor was a bit crude and the women showed a lot of cleavage and drinking was promoted but I was there for the experience!  It was just like being in a medieval village with all sorts of shops and the entertainment and music was fun!
I know some of the people I knew, my children included, thought it was a little strange that I would enjoy something like that.  And I can see why, because it is against most of what I was brought up to be...modest, temperate, and to not be like the world.  And it is true, when I was there I did let my standards slip a little.
So this morning when I was having my devotions, I was reading in Galatians 5 and it said "the desires of our human nature and the desires of the holy Spirit are not the same thing.  They are two powerful forces pulling in opposite directions so you can't always depend on what you feel as being the right thing to do."  And then went on to list the works of the human nature...fornication, filthy language, debauchery, drunkenness, sexual perversions...just to name a few.  Yup, they sounded a lot like what goes on at the Renaissance fair.  And then later on in Galatians 6,  I read:  "If a man invests his time and energy in fulfilling the desires of his sinful nature, he'll reap for himself spiritual decay and eternal death.  But if he invests his time and talents in what the Holy Spirit leads him to do, then he'll reap spiritual strength and eternal life."
So I told Curt that I would not be going to anymore Renaissance festivals.  I can find better ways to use my time and money for the Lord.

Wishing You Were Here

This morning when I was having my prayer time, I was praying for my children and began missing them so much.  I went out to my chair to do my reading and felt a bit tired so closed my eyes and had a dream that I was at my daughter Amy's house and all of a sudden all my kids started showing up and unbeknownst to me their father had died and they were meeting to talk about the will.  Well now, it was just a dream and I am not wishing anything bad happen to their dad.  It did make me wish that someday soon we could all be together.  So it prompted me to send out a group text just letting them know that I was thinking of them and missed them and wished them a blessed day.  And then it ended in a great emoji lovefest!  All my kids were there at once texting sending out a group emoji hug.  It made me very happy!

The start of a new month

I felt a little, oh, I don't know exactly...maybe not really discouraged but on our Whatsapp they were posting how great everyone did at doing their 15 meetings or more this month and how on fire everyone is and making plans for the Elite academy on Orlando...and I feel a little sad that I won't be there and that I'm not really a part of the group because I'm not really doing much with my business.  Even my Facebook business group I've been neglecting because I need Curt to download some more videos for me because I don't know how to do it.  I can't even blame my inactivity on work because I haven't worked since Monday.
Yesterday was a really busy day with the Block Party but it went well. We ran out of sloppy joes but they seemed to be well received.  I was so sore in my lower back and right hip area, I just did too much heavy lifting.  Sometimes I think I'm wonder woman and I pay for it later but this morning all was well.  That Protandim is great!!
But it's a new month and who knows what's in store!  "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans."  Prov. 16:3
