Well, today I don't know if I felt like I accomplished a lot or wasted a lot of time. All in all I felt like it was a great day. Started out with my walk with a friend, went to lunch with another friend. Distributed a few magnets that advertise out Friendship supper for the church. And then sat down at the computer to work on my Facebook business page. One of the distributors had said you need to set hours for your business everyday just as you do your job so I decided that this afternoon would be that time. All in all I probably only spent 2-1/2 hours on it but that seemed like a lot. Of course some of that was watching videos and deciding what I wanted to add to my business page, inviting friends to my business page and posting something on my regular Facebook page. You know it's all a process of getting to know people and commenting on their posts so they'll check out yours. I'm just trying to get more visible. Then I remembered about the farmer's market today so I went to that and bought something from every vendor except the one selling knitted items. And then I had something to post about. Because I haven't had a post on Facebook for about a week so it was about time but I just hadn't had much to post about. My friend Beth D. asked me if I wanted to go to a candlelight vigil they were having for Savannah Greywind who was killed in Fargo. It was a terrible tragedy that you would never think would happen in North Dakota. Savannah was 8 months pregnant and a women in her apartment building lured her up to her apartment and then killed her for her baby. It's crazy, crazy, crazy! I was glad I went to show support and thankful that Beth asked me to go because I don't think I would have gone by myself. But I am trying to be more part of the community so trying to step out of my comfort zone. I never did end of posting anything new on my business page, was thinking of maybe doing a live video. We'll see.

Developing a habit
I've heard that it takes 6 weeks to develop a habit. But doing something consistently enough for it to become a habit is challenging. As you can tell, evaluating my day got missed for 3 days. So I decided that TV goes off for me at 9pm. That way I will come to the computer and blog. I think it should be doable. Especially when Curt isn't home. I get much more accomplished with no distractions. I have been pretty consistent with devotions, and exercise, (when I'm not working), reading needs improvement and doing something to build the business is pretty non-existent. But I did watch the recorded version of the ZOOM from last night that I missed because Curt and I went to "All Saints". A good movie based on a true story. Anyway, watching the zoom got me more excited about pursuing the Face book aspect. Now I just need to get on and invite friends to my business group and figure out how to add videos and files to my site. I really feel at peace with my decision to just work on becoming the best "me" I can be and just invite friends to my business group and if they're interested great and if not at least I let them know about it. I used to feel like everyone I met or talked to at work I had to look at them as a potential customer or distributor and wait for that perfect moment to bring up the business, or think about who I should be calling or texting about the product and it got to the point I was just feeling stressed and unhappy with myself because I couldn't push myself to do it. But now I love my life and I'm content with what I'm doing. It's really amazing!

Being part of the Community
Today was a good day. Started out with devotions and a delicious BLTE on rye bread (E being an egg) for breakfast. Amy gave me some huge tomatoes when I was down there from her garden and there is nothing better than BLT's with home grown tomatoes. The TRAC center is going to be opening on September 5 so they were giving tours of the facility this morning, so Curt and I walked over there, looked over the place and signed up. It is a beautiful facility. Has a water park type swimming area with some lap lanes and a separate warm water pool for classes and therapy, a"bubble" with artificial turf that can be taken up for tennis or other sports, lots of fitness equipment, a huge gym with a walking track that overlooks the gym. It also has a childcare facility. It will be great to have a pool again! After we walked back home we had lunch. I took a shower and we went grocery shopping, practiced at the church for special music tomorrow, got the laundry all put away and who knows what else I did but before long it was time to go to the grand opening of the ArtsPark downtown. Ever since the Ordly building burning down in 2005 they have been working on making this dream come true and now it is a beautiful green space in downtown Jamestown. I wish I could just download my pictures off my phone to show the metal grass sculpture, the mosaic benches are amazing!! The new metal sculpture pavilion. They even have North Dakota poets poetry etched into the rocks surrounding the metal grass sculptures. I really hope that it gets used by the community.
I am trying to go to more community functions because I want to feel like I belong to this community. I have lived here for almost 30 years and still feel like a stranger. And for both my business and community service they talk about the importance of being involved with your community. So I am trying to get out there and get to know some people. Mingling and talking to people, still a challenge, but working on it. I started reading "The World's Greatest Salesman" tonight. I read it years ago and can't really remember it but thought it might help me with my business. It's my bedtime so signing off!

Life is Wonderful, just not in the business world
Life is full of good intentions. But they don't accomplish a thing. I decided that I would try evaluating my days, like I learned from John Maxwell. So I logged on tonight and was surprised to see that I had blogged over a month ago about my business. So much has happened since then but nothing has happened with my LifeVantage business. Yes, I was excited when I got back from Elite Academy but like always...fear and rejection set in. I felt so much pressure to be calling people and getting those 15 meetings that I was feeling once again like a big failure. And one evening when I was sitting outside reading "Go Pro", I realized I am just not a saleswomen and not enough positive affirmations can make me into one. It's just not who I am and I hate feeling bad and disappointed in myself. So I decided I wasn't going to worry about it anymore, if I ran into someone and found that they were dealing with an issue that could be helped by Protandim, I would talk to them about it but I just can't make the phone calls and feel like I'm forcing myself on people. I'm OK being a retailer and just have customers for now and if someone comes along that wants to be a distributor, GREAT! I have been praying about it and I just haven't felt that God is leading me in that direction right now. But I have been getting excited about starting a new community service project and even went to Kansas City for a conference on "International and Urban Ministry". Pretty much leads you step by step in how to start up a ministry project.
So right now I'm going to focus on work, community service, and family. And I will continue to share Protandim as the opportunity arises. I did start a business Facebook group called "Business of Living Well". I'm trying to get that up and inviting people to the page. Who knows where it will lead. Some of my friends are having some success with it so I figure it's worth a try.
I'm going to commit to scheduling my days the night before and do my 5 things: 1) Devotions, 2)Read 15 minutes of an inspirational book, 3) Spend time working on Facebook page, follow-up with contacts.4) Exercise, 5) Evaluate my day on my blog.
Today I accomplished all of them except #2. Enjoyed my time at Eventide helping with the birthday recognition party with Community Services. Went out to supper at Johnny B's with Curt and watched "Hidden Figures" when we got back.
I have a great life and God has blessed me with good health which I never want to take for granted. I just want to serve God in whatever way He leads me.
