Starting a new chapter

It's hard to believe that just one year ago I started my journey with cancer and now here I am still cancer free and starting another journey.  This one actually requires me to move.  I have decided to move to Clarinda, Iowa so I can be a support for my daughter with my 2 grandchildren.  My husband and I have talked about it ever since Skye was born and now she's already 4 and Cody is 2.  It just seemed that it was time.  So I went down last week and got a job and an apartment and will be moving Tuesday morning.  Unfortunately, Curt won't be moving with me so there will still be a lot of driving back and forth.  It's difficult leaving my husband, mother, friends and church family. But I really felt that God was leading me to do this, and that makes it a lot easier.  I never thought I would be excited about starting a new job at this point in my life, but I am!  I will be working for a home health agency.  It's something I've always thought I would enjoy but it was comfortable just staying at the same job until I retired.  I am sure there will be much to learn but I've managed to handle all the changes at my old job so I think I can handle this too.
I spent all day packing.  It's hard to know how much to take but I guess I'll be coming back often enough that I can always pick up more stuff if I need it.
I'm looking forward to being only an hour and a half away from Angela and Ben and Ashley in Lincoln, NE and 2 hours from my sister, Cindy, in KC.  I hope we can get together often.  I know God will bless me in this new adventure.
