My own little bit of heaven

Last fall and this spring Curt and I have been working on a little garden spot in our backyard. Now to most of you it may not look like a great thing but to me it is my little sanctuary. I love to sit in my swing and listen to the waterfall, the birds and look at my flowers. I planted some rose bushes last summer which aren't blooming yet but I have high hopes because at least they have some leaves on the stems. My tulips I transplanted last fall have come up and some have bloomed already. I have always felt that God is talking to me through nature. Letting me know how much He loves me by providing such beauty to surround me. We just got back from the farm, looking for flat rocks to put around our pond, and it brought back so many memories. I miss the quiet and beauty of the country. However, driving through town on the way back I felt as if I were in Hawaii once again. Everywhere you look there are flowering trees and bushes. The lilacs are all in bloom, as are the apple, crabapple and whatever all the other pink and fuscia flowering trees are. It is a lovely and fragrant season. I pray that all of you are enjoying God's beauty wherever you are.

Mother's Day Surprise

I don't have to tell any of you how great my children are because I think most of you would agree that they are all quite amazing. I was quite surprised however when a package was delivered to me on May 12 and it was from my sons! They sent me the most beautiful bouquet of lilies I have ever seen! (As you can tell from the picture.) And there are still some buds that will open soon. I will be enjoying these for some time yet.
And it was so great getting a phone call from each of my kids, timed perfectly I must add. You are the best! I love you all!!
