Biking Journal 13
Finally, a day I didn't have to fight the wind! When I left home the computer said the wind was 13 mph from the E and now it's down to 7 mph. It's 62 degrees and sunny. When I got up today I was feeling a little bit of dread to go biking and I thought this is not good. I have a lot of training to do and I can't start getting tired of this, so I decided to just make this a day of running errands on the bike. So I dropped off the electric bill, picked up a check for VBS supplies and then took the l-o-o-ng way to the post office to mail some letters. All in all it turned out to be a 14 mile trip in 1 hour and 9 minutes. I'm thinking that I need to be like Angela and just make riding bike a way of life. Take my backpack along to buy groceries, etc. Tonight I think I will ride to work. I have been nervous about riding around town but I am overcoming my fears.

You are awesome mom. It's cool to see you making bike-riding a part of your lifestyle and not just your exercise routine or a hobby. I guarantee it will make you happier, healthier, and you'll probably learn more about Jamestown and your community.
Be safe.
