My First Spring Walk

April 19, and it finally got warm enough for a comfortable walk!  It's in the mid 40's and no wind.  Absolutely perfect walking weather!  I was greeted with the honking of geese as I walked out of the house, so I thanked God for thinking of me :)  I love going walking alone because I can listen for every whisper from God letting me know how much He loves me.  As I was walking the path I heard a quiet tap, tap, tap and searched to find a hairy woodpecker getting his breakfast.  I sighted my first robin, even though I have been hearing them in the morning, I had not actually visualized one.  The chickadees were calling back and forth to each other.  The reservoir is still frozen over for the most part that I saw.  For me the joy is in the journey.  It doesn't matter how far I go or how fast I walk, it's the beauty of the moments.
I know my friend enjoys walking and talking and is more focused on how far we go and how fast we do it but they don't usually leave me feeling joyful.  I just know that I had a good workout.
So looking forward to more of my "Walks With God" (as I like to call them)!
