Biking Journal 22

Today was a little ify as far as rain goes but this morning was pretty sunny and not much wind so I was debating where to go. Then Curt said he was going out to the cabin to do some lawn work so I said "Hey, I'll ride out there and then catch a ride back with you." So I took off and the ride was actually quite good. I met a couple semi's and had to brace myself for the back draft that hits you. The wind started picking up and the clouds started moving in after about 7 miles but it didn't start sprinkling until I was almost there. The wind was from the west so when I turned on the road to Spiritwood lake going east I had a very fast 5 mile ride. Just as I was turning onto the gravel here was Curt coming up the road. I was very glad because I was not looking forward to riding on the gravel. I went 16.35 miles in 1 hour and 9 minutes. It was fun seeing some waterfowl up close. Now I just need to get better at identifying them, I remember Dad use to know every duck at a glance. I should have paid more attention. A deer even crossed the road in front of me. It was a good ride.
